The downstairs furnishings in Glen Valley holiday cottage in Cornwall are now fully updated and we hope you agree it’s looking a cosy and comfortable place to stay. From the kitchen doors to the curtains and dining suite to the washer dryer, it’s all new, including a fresh coat of paint.
The finishing touch to the downstairs is a beautiful striped re-upholstery of a classic Parker Knoll chair. It’s a great addition beside the two new sofa’s that were added earlier in the year. It makes it perfect for chilling out in the evening, playing board games, chatting or watching a film on the new Sony TV.
The Parker Knoll chair was re-upholstered by a great company in Ketton, near Stamford in Lincolnshire. Matthew Laughton Upholstery are real craftsmen who take great care and pride in what they do. You can find further details on their website.
Of course, no Rock holiday cottage in Cornwall would be complete without a cushion to remind you where you are. Hence the Rock cushion in the picture.
As Autumn / Winter approaches we’ve tested the new electric radiators in the chillier weather. They work a treat and make it a very cosy cottage for a winter break in Cornwall.
So that’s a big tick downstairs and we’re working on the upstairs too.
This week a top quality new king size bed and mattress have gone into the double room of the cottage. It looks great with the new quilts and bed linen. There are new headboards in the twin room too.
Over the next few months we’ll be busy be re-decorating upstairs ready for the 2018 season. 2018 availability and prices for Glen Valley holiday cottage in Cornwall are now on the website.
