A comfortable and homely self catering holiday cottage situated in the peaceful countryside of St Minver, near Polzeath, Rock, Wadebridge and Padstow, close to the beautiful North Cornwall coast. Offering flexible accommodation for up to 6 guests in two bedrooms, ideal for large families.
As you approach the Cottage you will be pleased to see that it is built to a very high standard, finished in local stone and slate and sympathetic to the style of the original barn. Look carefully and you will find a stone bearing the date 1844. The final conversion to cottages was made in 1989.
Enter through the front door of the cottage into the Lobby which has a black slate floor, with a hanging rail for coats and a shoe rack, it is also a useful place for general storage.
Through the lobby enter the open plan living area, the cottage has been designed to make the most of the space and the natural light, with the French doors to the sitting room opening out over the lovely countryside views. The sitting area has 3 comfortable sofa’s. There is a 26" flat screen digital TV that can receive all Freeview channels and a combination DVD, CD player and Radio. For your further entertainment we have a small library of DVD’s, a Sony Playstation 2 with 2 controllers and a selection of games , a small library of books and a selection of popular family board games.
The dining area has a large table that will comfortably seat 6, a high chair is also available.
Our kitchen was refurbished in 2010. It has new rustic stone effect worktops with complimenting wall tiles, a new 'Neff' electric ceramic hob, a new retro style 'Nardi' larder size fridge freezer and a new black polycarbonate sink and taps. It also has a just about everything you should need for a carefree holiday including a cooker, a microwave, an automatic washing machine with built in tumble drying, an iron and an ironing board, a toaster, a kettle, and a steamer. We have plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and utensils and there is ample storage in the kitchen units with additional storage space under the stairs . The kitchen floor is finished in slate tiles to match the lobby.

Upstairs, the master bedroom was completely refurbished in 2007, with new furnishings, curtains and bed linen, featuring a very comfortable King size bed with luxury mattress. There is sufficient wardrobe and drawer space in several pieces of limed pine furniture. A hair dryer is also provided for those who like to look at their best after a day on the beach.
The twin bedroom is a light and spacious room and has two comfortable single beds, further accommodation can be provided with two fold-up beds (we only recommend the fold up beds for under 14's) or a travel cot. There is a large wardrobe, ample drawer space, a children's night-light and spectacular views over the countryside.
The bathroom was completely refurbished in 2008 , including a new bathroom suite, new floor and wall tiles, a heated electric power shower and accessories.

The cottage is very cozy, even in the Winter, but if required, there is a large storage heater downstairs and every room has its own thermostatically and timer controlled heater.
Outside, to the front of the cottage is a patio with a picnic table and bench which also enjoys stunning views of the lovely countryside towards Wadebridge and across the large communal lawned gardens, which are a perfect place for children to congregate and play on an evening.
At the bottom of the communal area is an entrance to the newly planted copse with its multitude of winding paths, ideal for a short relaxing stroll or a spot of bird watching around the pond.
At the rear there is a parking area with space for 2 cars or even a small boat. The rear garden has a small lawn and a few steps lead to a graveled small patio area perfect for those evening BBQ's. There is a rotary dryer for clothes and towels, and an external tap and hose to allow you to clean down your Surf Boards, Wetsuits and beach things.
We have a local Caretaker, Jackie, who will be available should you need any assistance during your stay, she can also offer Babysitting facilities, subject to availability, bookable locally.
