We’ve replaced a couple of pictures in our Cornish holiday cottage. This Lee McCarthy print is fascinating when you look up close. He calls it Costal Capers.
Lee McCarthy, a virtually self taught artist, says of his work ‘You might find some of my paintings are quite quirky and naive…’. That’s true.
At a glance it’s got sea, sand and blue sky. Look closer and it captures the details we all love about the seaside. There’s adults sunning themselves whilst the kids run wild on the seashore. There’s fishing, boats, dog walking (running) and romance on the bridge. Shops, bars and books for sale. You might agree it feels like a fun filled and more relaxed way of life.
