  • Rural exhibits
  • Trade stands
  • Car boot sale
  • Cornish wrestling
  • Local majorette bands
  • Live music
  • Disco
  • Dancing diggers

Visit the St Merryn Steam Fair & Vintage Rally website for more details.

The parish and village of St Merryn

The parish of St Merryn has over 5 miles of stunning cliffs and beaches, many of them famed as amongst North Cornwall’s finest. In fact, the village has a motto relating to this. On the signs as you enter the village you’ll see the line ‘Seven Bays for Seven Days’. You may recognise some of the names:

  • Trevone Bay
  • Harlyn Bay
  • Mother Ivy’s Bay
  • Booby’s Bay
  • Constantine Bay
  • Treyarnon Bay
  • Porthcothan Bay

Named after a visiting 6th century Welsh missionary priest called Merryn, the parish and village of St Merryn is about 12 miles from Glen Valley holiday cottage, so all these bays and beaches are in easy reach for a day out.

Find out more about St Merryn and its seven bays on the Padstow Live website. You might be surprised by what you read.
