Our comfortable self catering holiday cottage accommodation near Padstow, Rock and Polzeath has everything you, your family and friends will need for your holiday in North Cornwall. You’ll see the cottage is part of a small group of self catering holiday cottages on a farm in a beautiful countryside location.

The holiday cottage comfortably sleeps 4 in a double and a twin bedroom and there is also a sofa bed and travel cot.

Downstairs there is an open plan living area with well equipped kitchen, dining area for up to 6 and comfortable sofas. Outside is a picnic table, parking for 2 cars and a huge child friendly grass area where children can safely play.

Our local Caretaker, Jackie, will be available should you need any assistance during your stay, she can also offer Babysitting facilities, subject to availability.

Inside Glen Valley self catering holiday cottage

Open plan living

Enter through the front door of the cottage into the hallway, which has a black slate floor, with a hanging rail for coats and a shoe rack, it’s also a useful place for general storage.

Through the lobby you’ll find a large open plan living area. The cottage has been designed to make the most of the space and the natural light, with the French doors in the living area opening out over lovely countryside views.

The sitting area has two comfortable sofa’s. There is a 32″ Sony LCD TV that can receive all Freeview channels, DVD/Blue-ray player and radio. Plus a small library of DVD’s and a selection of popular family board games.

Well equipped kitchen

The kitchen has rustic stone effect worktops with complimenting wall tiles, a Neff electric ceramic hob, Bosch oven/grill, retro style Nardi larder fridge freezer and black polycarbonate sink.

It also has a just about everything you should need for a carefree holiday including a microwave, an automatic washing machine with built in tumble drying, an iron and an ironing board, toaster and kettle.

There is plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and utensils and there is ample storage in the kitchen units with additional storage space under the stairs . The kitchen floor is finished in slate tiles to match the lobby.

Dining area

The dining area has a large table that will comfortably seat 6, a high chair is also available.

The cottage is very cozy, even in the Winter, but if required, there are electric heaters.

There is wi-fi benefitting from Cornwalls super fast broadband.

Because it’s a cottage near Padstow we’ve been able to buy some fabulous pictures from Whistlefish next to Padstow harbour. You’ll find them throughout the cottage.

Large twin room

The twin bedroom is a light and spacious room and has two comfortable single beds and a travel cot.

There is a wardrobe, drawer space, a children’s night-light and spectacular views over the countryside.

Bed linen in Glen Valley Cottage is provided but please bring your own towels and any bedding for the travel cot if you will be using it.

Comfy double room

The master bedroom features a comfortable new king size bed with luxury mattress.

There’s sufficient wardrobe and drawer space in several pieces of vintage limed pine furniture.

A hair dryer is also provided for those who like to look at their best after a day on the beach.

Modern bathroom with shower

The bathroom is well appointed with modern fixtures, a bath and a pumped electric shower.

There is a wall mounted heater so showers are lovely and warm even in the winter months.

Please don’t forget to bring your own towels.

In the airing cupboard is a hot water tank with a switch for the immersion heater, also the main switch for the shower.

Step outside onto acres of lawns

Glen Valley is built to a high standard, finished in local stone and slate and sympathetic to the style of the original barn. Look carefully and you will find a stone bearing the date 1844. The final conversion to cottages was made in 1989.

To the front of the cottage is a patio with a picnic table and bench which also enjoys stunning views of the lovely countryside and across the large communal lawned gardens, which are a perfect place for children to congregate and play on an evening.

Garden, barbecue area and parking

At the rear there is a parking area with space for 2 cars or even a small boat. The rear garden has a small lawn and a few steps lead to a graveled small patio area with a bench, perfect for those evening BBQ’s. There is a rotary dryer for clothes and towels, and an external tap and hose to allow you to clean down your surf boards, wetsuits and beach things.

There is a garden store with some things for the beach including balls and surf boards, which you’re welcome to use.
