Frequently asked questions – Glen Valley Cottage
Yes. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please don’t let them on the furniture or upstairs or leave them in the cottage alone. In high season some beaches do not allow dogs, this includes Polzeath but Rock beach allows dogs all year round.
The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 in one double and one twin room. If required there is also a double sofa bed. A travel cot is also available. We recommend no more than 6 guests.
Yes. All bedding is supplied for your stay. Plus a few tea towels. Please bring your own towels.
Yes. If you only have one car then there is another parking space to park your trailer or small boat on a trailer. Alternatively sailing boats and small dinghies can be left at Rock, near the harbourmasters hut, for a small fee.
Glen Valley has a high chair, travel cot, some plug in night lights, board games, books, and DVD’s. There are acres of grounds for children to play in. For more information see here.
Yes. Please leave the cottage clean when you leave. Alternatively, for an additional £30 we can arrange for the cottage to be cleaned for you on your departure.
This year you will find the front door key in a key safe next to the front door. We will send you the 4 digit number to open the key safe shortly before your stay.

The cottage is available to rent all year round. You’ll find our availability calendar and price list here.
Yes. You need to bring your own towels.
Changeover day at Glen Valley is Saturday. The cottage will be ready for you to arrive after 3pm on the first day of your stay. Please leave the cottage by 10am on the last Saturday of your stay so we can get it prepared for the next guests.
Yes. There are 2 dedicated parking spaces opposite the back garden.
Apart from towels and your personal things you’ll find everything you need for your stay is provided. Please note that there is a washer dryer but there is currently no dishwasher.
No. Electricity is included in the price.
Yes, there is WiFi. You’ll find the password in the cottage.
Yes. If Jackie, our caretaker, is free she is happy to babysit for you. She will leave details in the cottage for when you arrive.
There are some details about what’s on locally and things to do on this website. There is also a folder at the cottage listing local resturants, places to visit etc.
